Health and Hope and Life

Hi Friends,

I'm writing my first blogs and for past few months I'm trying to reduce my weight but still I'm dis-satisfied with the results. So I plan of sharing my random thoughts on health.
There is a famous Arabic quote which says 'He who has health has hope and he who has hope has everything'. Explicitly this quote explains the pivotal role of good health in one's life.
In current urban life I find endless eateries. Some are fine dine restaurants, some are economical and some are fast foods and some are with limited menu..... The list is endless.
But one thing I have noticed that their are not even 1% eateries which provide a good deal--where food is tasty, healthy and economical.
Probably the primary reason for this could be that major chunk of customers are not interested in this kind of offerings. After all, business firms are doing good market research before creating and providing any offering.
One interesting thing which I noticed that lot of us do not listen and care about our vital organs of our body. Whenever we go to eat outside, we primarily cater to the needs, wants and 'nakhras' of our taste buds. We forget to take care about our stomach, kidneys, liver etc. It's ironical that the main pillars of good health is one's digestive system but the priority is given to our invisible taste buds. Yes but choice is always ours.
I think this is not the appropriate platform to give advise what to eat and what not. All depends on your current and continuously changing metabolic rate.
Also one thing which always surprises me that how before anyone, Europeans developed the habit of eating healthy and doing exercise. Probably this is the main reason that they were able to rule the whole world as they were more proactive, resourceful and intelligent. To support the previous lines European food is bland with minimum spices, oil and less or no gravies. The food is rich in protein which helps them in making a huge and strong physique. It's strange but yes all the famous out door sports got developed in Europe. Whether you take soccer, tennis, cricket,etc.. the list is endless.
I think we need to embrace (if we are not following it) these qualities to ensure that we are also strong mentally and physically.
Now I'm finding that the blog has diffused a bit from the main topic ( :( what was the main topic). In the end, one thing I have realized that it takes a continuous and consistent effort to create an overall good health but it takes minimal time to spoil once health.
So to ensure that their is always hope in one's life, then be healthy. Do all things possible which can make you healthy and if you live longer, then their will be more to achieve in life and if you achieve more, then you will have more resources to enjoy life but the most important is that you will be the proud owner of the world's greatest instrument in the most perfect shape---->Your body.

Cheers,
Deepak.
